CANCELLED - ICE BLAST FOREST LAKE
Sad news that we cancel the first race on Forest Lake scheduled for January 24th, 2026. Ice is now at 14 inches and with temps this morning at 30 degrees F we are not making the 18 inches of ice needed to hold this event and meet permit requirements. A week or more of 30 and 40 degree temps with the almost one inch of rain really halted the freezing process. We strive to maintain a safe venue.
Yes, we do see some colder temps, but not enough to make the additional 4 plus inches needed to hold this event. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause for the racers, supporters, sponsors, and spectators.

Get ready for the Chetek Winterfest to be held in Chetek, Wisconsin on February 28th, 2026.

General Update for NSSR, Inc.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just a quick update on the Spring activities while we are stuck between Winter and Spring. Too bad the ice went to heck so quick and is weak at best even up in central MN.

We do not plan to do a banquet for the 2025 season with NSSR, Inc. The price of doing a banquet has gone up and there is no doubt that our Pro Membership group is down as of now. That being said we had a good winter and pulled off the 2 races on the schedule. We also had fantastic sponsors and set some fantastic World Records!

We can always use more sponsors for 2026 so if you know a potential business let us know. Remember, it gets you a free membership if we secure one you give us a lead on. We also are looking for a Platinum sponsor for the NSSR Super Series Scoreboard!

World Record plaques are in process for those stellar runs. We are also getting plaques for our 2025 sponsors!

Deciding if we mail out or if we have a happy hour in April to give out. We also have points plaques for the kids program that we are getting done.

Stacy will post the points for the 2025 season soon so everyone knows who took the Class Championships

We plan to attend the ISR Rules Meeting on April 25th in Bloomington and have submitted a few housekeeping items for discussion on Super Stock track width for clarification, Helmet requirements, and some revisions to the Pro Stock 1000 and 1500 classes for now.
